Watch Illuminated Drones Create Beating Heart to Honor Healthcare Workers in Rotterdam Sky

The Amsterdam design firm Studio Drift launched another unique edition of their spectacular drone light show this time presenting a red heart beating in the sky as a tribute to healthcare workers.

The dynamic aeronautical model highlights 300 sparkling, self-sufficient Intel Shooting Star Drones, which have been customized to emulate the conduct of a murmuration of starlings in the sky.

The unchoreographed display is accomplished thanks to finely-tuned algorithms. Each drone acts and reacts in real-time to its network.

The Studio Drift light show performed to music was also showcased by the Kennedy Space Center last year (sans red heart) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The performance above the Dutch city on May 5 was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Liberation Day, marking the end of Nazi occupation in the Netherlands.

At the end of the 15-Toward the finish of the 15-minute light show, the feature of the night charmed observers as the automatons met up to frame a splendid red 3D heart noticeable all around, which beating in time, as though it were pulsating.
